Unit outline

Prior to making a decision on what unit to study, it is important that students read the unit information regarding what topics the unit will be covering, as well as the types and timing of assessment involved. Information on unit content is available from QUT Virtual's Unit Outline Search. If you are unable to access the web, you can request a unit outline by phoning 07 3138 8669.

Where a 2010 unit outline is not yet available please consult a 2009 version for an idea of the content that will be covered in the unit as well as the number of contact hours required.

Timetable

Selection of units is dependent on a suitable secondary school timetable. Generally, three contact hours per week are required for each unit. Some units such as dance or science units may require more contact hours. Prior to making a decision students should check the unit timetable to ensure they have sufficient time in their school timetable to accomodate the contact hours required for the unit. To search for a unit timetable visit QUT Virtual. If clarification on unit timetables is sought, please contact the relevant faculty coordinator.

Please note Semester 2, 2010 timetables are expected to be released on 21 May 2010. Students should still submit their applications as early as possible to ensure their place in the program. Once timetables are released if they do not suit the student's school timetable the student will be given the option to change to a different unit.
